Trivia Night – May 2020

unnamed“Join us for our first online Trivia Event!
While we may be required or encouraged to social distance from one another that doesn’t mean that we can’t connect, have fun and raise some money for a good cause. On Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 3pm EST, the Rotary Club of Ottawa Metro will be hosting online Trivia in support of Interval House of Ottawa.
To join, we are asking for a $10 donation to Interval House of Ottawa. Any donation of $10 or more will be eligible for a tax receipt from Interval House of Ottawa. (We understand that some people may be struggling financially at this time, and $10 may be cost-prohibitive for some. IF you are unable to pay the $10 donation, please contact us at
The vision of Interval House of Ottawa is to lead the way in building a community committed to healthy and respectful relationships, free from all violence and abuse. Especially during this time of social-distancing and people being encouraged to stay at home, some of our vulnerable members of society find themselves in more dangerous positions at home. Interval House of Ottawa is working with other community partners to adapt to the new environment we are finding ourselves in.
How will we be playing Trivia?
This will take place over Zoom, using a platform through Kahoot. When you register, you will be sent an email with the Zoom link. You do not need to download anything, but need access to the internet. At 3pm EST on Saturday, you will sign in to Zoom, using the meeting info and password. You will also have to join the Rotary Club of Ottawa Kahoot game to be able to answer the questions. All instructions will be sent to you upon registration and confirmation of your donation.
How do you register?
Registration is very simple and can be done on any device. You will have to register by emailing us at You will also be required to pay the donation fee of $10CAD (min). You can do so in various ways. The easiest way is to donate directly on our fundraising page through CanadaHelps: (please note that if you donate this way, a portion of your donation goes to CanadaHelps as an administration fee, but a tax receipt will be automatically sent to you for your donation). Alternatively, you may send payment to the Rotary Club of Ottawa Metro via e-transfer or personal cheque if you prefer.
We can’t wait to see you on Saturday, May 3, 2020 for this amazing event! Let’s continue to support our community in this unique time.”
